Mumbai-Hero MotoCorp Limited, the manufacture of motorcycle and scooter manufacturer, has officially commenced its operations in the Philippines. This launch represents a significant milestone in the company's ongoing efforts to broaden its global presence.
In October 2022, Terrafirma Motors Corporation (TMC), part of Columbian Group of Companies, was appointed as the exclusive assembler and distributor of Hero MotoCorp products and services in the Philippines. This collaboration brings together two major automotive forces, aiming to deliver Hero’s innovative offerings to the Southeast Asian market.

Terrafirma Motors Corporation has inaugurated a cutting-edge assembly plant and parts warehouse in Laguna, Philippines. Covering an area of more than 6,000 square meters, this facility is designed to achieve an annual production capacity exceeding 150,000 units. The new plant will manufacture several of Hero MotoCorp’s popular models, such as the Xpulse 200 4V, Hunk 160R 4V, and the Xoom 110 scooter.
Retail sales have launched with the Xpulse 200 4V priced at PHP 140,000, the Hunk 160R 4V at PHP 99,900, and the Xoom 110 at PHP 69,900. All models come with a 2-year or 24,000-kilometer warranty, ensuring customers receive reliable support and peace of mind.
To strengthen its operations, Hero MotoCorp and TMC have built a robust retail network featuring more than 350 customer touchpoints for sales, service, and spare parts. They intend to plan broaden this network by the end of the year, ensuring widespread accessibility and support for Hero products across the Philippines.
Hero MotoCorp's entry into the Philippines marks a significant step in its efforts to enhance its global footprint. With operations in 48 countries and tech centers located in India and Germany, as well as manufacturing facilities in India, Colombia, and Bangladesh, the company's latest move into the Southeast Asian market emphasizes its commitment to providing high-quality, reliable motorcycles and scooters to an expanding global audience.
