Mahindra Tractors appoints a new Marketing Head

Mukherjee oversaw above-the-line communication, digital marketing, CRM, and call center operations at Mahindra Tractors.

Mumbai - Mahindra Tractors., a tractor manufacturer, has appointed Mr. Ujjwal Mukherjee, previously heading marketing services at Mahindra Farm Division, as its new Marketing Head. Mukherjee was responsible for overseeing above-the-line communication, digital marketing, CRM, and call center operations at Mahindra Tractors.

Mukherjee led the Mahindra Accelerated Leadership Track (MALT), a program developed in collaboration with Carnegie Mellon University, USA, aimed at nurturing talent and shaping future leaders. During his tenure, he also managed critical projects across group businesses, including EVs, facilitated capital allocation decisions, and supported portfolio strategy. In March 2024, a team under Mukherjee's guidance won the IAMAI India Digital Award for Mahindra OJA in the category of 'Best Use of Meta.

Before joining Mahindra & Mahindra, Mukherjee served as an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company, where he led client engagements in the pharma, power, and automobile sectors. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, a post-graduation from the Indian School of Business, and completed executive education at Carnegie Mellon University.

Mahindra & Mahindra holds the largest year-to-date market share of 44% in the farm division sector. In October 2024, the company’s Farm Equipment Sector achieved its highest-ever tractor sales, reaching 64,326 units, a 30% increase compared to the same period last year.

Mahindra has projected a 6-6.8% growth for the tractor industry in FY25, with sales expected to rise by 13-15% in the second half of the year. This growth is fueled by strong demand for advanced farm solutions and the success of Mahindra's premium tractor models, including the Mahindra OJA series.
