Solaris Bus & Coach has contracted with Keolis Sverige to supply 46 electric buses for Sweden's Dalarna region, with deliveries starting in 2025.

Poznan, Poland - Solaris Bus & Coach sp. z o.o., a public transport vehicles manufacturer, has signed a contract with Keolis Sweden AB., a public transport company, for 46 zero-emission electric buses for Sweden's Dalarna region. The order includes 19 Urbino 12 electric buses and 27 Urbino 15 LE electric buses, with deliveries scheduled in two phases starting in 2025.
Mr. Sverre Skaar, CEO of Solaris Sverige AB, said, “Keolis order of 46 electric buses is a significant step in sustainable mobility solutions in Sweden. We are pleased to implement zero-emission solutions in both city centers and suburban transportation, as we believe this is essential for the global transformation of transport."
The Solaris Urbino 12 electric, a popular choice among European operators, will accommodate up to 61 passengers and feature 600 kWh High Energy batteries for full-day urban operation. It will be powered by a 240kW traction motor and a modular drive, optimizing space. The Urbino 12 electric won the 2025 Sustainable Bus Award in the "Urban Bus" category.
The Solaris Urbino 15 LE electric, designed for urban and intercity routes, will accommodate 72 passengers and feature 700 kWh batteries for extended range. It includes three-point seatbelts, air-conditioning, USB ports, and card payment ticket machines, ensuring comfort and safety.
The Solaris Urbino 15 LE electric buses will feature advanced safety systems, including collision avoidance, camera-based mirrors, and driver fatigue monitoring. Solaris, a trusted partner of Swedish transport operators since 2003, continues to lead in zero-emission vehicles, with nearly 700 units delivered to Sweden. This latest contract reinforces its commitment to green transport in the Nordic region.
