Gurugram- Uno Minda Ltd., an Indian manufacturer and provider of specialized automotive solutions and systems commissions a new EV systems plant in Farukhnagar, Haryana  as part of a joint venture with FRIWO AG Germany. This new plant would produce a wide range of items for EV 2wheelers and 3wheelers, comprising On-Board Chargers, Off-Board Chargers, Motor Control Units, DCDC Converters, Battery Management Systems, and many more. Supplies from the facility are currently underway, and it is likely that they will continue to increase when more orders begin production (SOP) in the subsequent quarters.

In August 2023, Uno Minda Ltd.'s subsidiary Uno Minda Buehler Motor Private Limited (UMBM) in Bawal, Haryana, formally inaugurated its second new EV systems plant. The factory will produce traction motors and BLDC motors for electric 2- and 3-wheelers. OEMs have already placed orders with UMBM, and supply are anticipated to begin in Q3 of FY24.

During the first quarter of FY24, the company additionally got fresh orders for EV systems with an approximate maximum worth over 600 crores. The whole order book, which includes both existing products and EV-specific products, is currently over 2500 crores annualised peak value from EV OEMs. By FY26, the company hopes to generate 1500 crores of rupees in income from EV systems.
