Haryana - Action Construction Equipment Ltd (ACE)., a construction equipment manufacturer, has signed a strategic memorandum of understanding with Sanghvi Movers Ltd., a crane rental company, to accelerate the adoption of indigenously manufactured heavy slew cranes across India. The agreement brings together ACE, the world’s largest manufacturer of pick-and-carry cranes, and Sanghvi Movers, India’s and Asia’s largest crane rental company and the world’s fifth-largest in the segment.
The partnership aims to increase the use of Indian-made truck cranes and crawler cranes in major infrastructure and industrial projects, supporting the Government of India’s Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India initiatives. Through medium-term collaboration, the two companies plan to strengthen domestic manufacturing capabilities, reduce dependence on imported cranes, and improve efficiency in large-scale project execution.
As part of the agreement, Sanghvi Movers will progressively expand its fleet with ACE-manufactured heavy cranes, enabling faster, more cost-effective deployment while supporting local manufacturing. ACE will focus on product customization, technical support, and tailored solutions aligned with India’s infrastructure requirements.
The collaboration is expected to drive import substitution, boost local supply chains, and contribute to job creation and skill development. With infrastructure development gathering pace nationwide, the partnership reinforces India’s ambition to emerge as a global hub for advanced lifting solutions.
Mr. Sorab Agarwal, Executive Director, ACE, said, “The heavy slew cranes market in India has traditionally been dominated by imports. This partnership helps us deepen the Make in India vision by offering high-performance indigenous alternatives that deliver reliability, safety, and long-term value.”
Mr. Rishi C Sanghvi, Managing Director, Sanghvi Movers, said, “Our association with ACE is central to our growth strategy. Adding Indian-made cranes to our fleet not only reduces import dependency but also ensures faster service, improved availability, and greater economic value within the country.”
