DULUTH, Georgia – AGCO Corporation., an agricultural machinery company, has named Brian Sorbe as President of its PTx division, effective August 25, 2025. Sorbe will lead the company’s precision agriculture strategy, aiming to accelerate innovation, retrofit solutions, and farmer education to meet AGCO’s target of $2 billion in precision ag sales by 2029.
With nearly 30 years in precision agriculture, global sales, and product development, Sorbe most recently served as Senior Vice President and General Manager at Topcon Positioning Systems, where he oversaw mixed-fleet technology development, product strategy, marketing, and M&A integration. His career began at Ag-Chem Equipment in Jackson, Minnesota - now part of AGCO, and spans leadership roles in construction and industrial automation, with agriculture remaining his core focus.
Raised on a farm in Iowa, Sorbe brings both personal and professional passion for the industry. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Purdue University system and postgraduate credentials in AI & Machine Learning, Agricultural Autonomy & Robotics, and is pursuing an MBA. He will be based in Tremont, Illinois, a key PTx site.
