Duluth, Georgia – AGCO Corporation., an agricultural machinery manufacturer, has appointed James C. Collins Jr. to its Board of Directors, effective April 1, 2026.
Collins brings nearly four decades of leadership experience across the global agriculture and food value chain. His background includes extensive work in innovation, business growth and sustainable agricultural solutions.
Mr. Eric Hansotia, Chairman, President and CEO of AGCO, said Collins’ deep understanding of global agriculture and proven leadership will support the company’s Farmer-First strategy and its goal of delivering advanced smart farming solutions to farmers worldwide.
Collins previously served as Chief Executive Officer and Board member of Corteva Agriscience, a role he assumed after leading the formation of the company in 2019 following the merger of Dow and DuPont. He joined DuPont in 1984 and held several senior leadership roles during his career, including Chief Operating Officer of DowDuPont’s Agriculture Division and Executive Vice President of DuPont’s agricultural businesses.
Currently, Collins serves on the Board of Directors of Archer-Daniels-Midland Company, where he is a member of the Audit Committee and the Compensation and Succession Committee. He is also a board member of private companies Vestaron Corporation and Pivot Bio.
He holds an MBA in international business from the University of Delaware and a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from Christian Brothers College.
AGCO also announced that Matthew Tsien will not stand for re-election at the company’s upcoming annual meeting of stockholders. Hansotia thanked Tsien for his contributions and leadership during his time on the board.
