AGCO Expands PTx Precision Ag Network Across North America

Duluth, Georgia - AGCO Corporation., an agricultural machinery manufacturer, is rapidly expanding its PTx dealership network throughout North America, strengthening its presence in the precision agriculture sector. The PTx brand comprises two key divisions: Precision Planting, which delivers retrofit technologies for planting, spraying, and harvesting; and PTx Trimble, which specializes in guidance, steering, water management, and autonomous solutions.

Just one year after launching the PTx Trimble brand, AGCO has successfully integrated PTx solutions into more than 50 additional Fendt and Massey Ferguson dealerships throughout the U.S. and Canada. The company aims to offer PTx Trimble’s guidance and steering systems at all its North American production agriculture dealerships by the end of 2025.

A key driver of this expansion is AGCO’s Technology Dealer Strategy. This approach develops specialized channels within its dealer network that provide complementary products from the PTx Trimble and Precision Planting portfolios.

Under this strategy, Base Technology Dealers are equipped to retrofit a variety of equipment brands with PTx guidance and steering systems, enabling broader compatibility and accessibility. Meanwhile, Full Line Precision Ag Dealers provide comprehensive, year-round solutions using retrofit technologies from both PTx Trimble and Precision Planting. These dealers support all machinery brands and offer advanced capabilities such as water management and implement control, ensuring farmers have access to precision agriculture tools throughout the entire crop cycle.

This strategic expansion enables AGCO dealers to provide comprehensive precision ag tools and expertise throughout the crop cycle, supporting farms of all sizes and complexities.
