Uttar Pradesh - Agristo Masa Pvt Ltd., an agricultural machinery manufacturer, and AVR nv., a potato machinery manufacturer from Belgium, are enhancing their partnership for a AVR potato harvesters.

Mr. Stefan Top, Managing Director of AVR, and Agristo Masa have signed an agreement for the acquisition of two additional AVR potato harvesters over the next two years. The deal was signed during the Belgian Economic Mission to India (26 Feb – 5 Mar 2025). It follows the delivery of an AVR harvester earlier 2025.

The mission united a diverse delegation of Belgian companies and policymakers with the goal of strengthening economic relations between Belgium and India. During the event, several trade agreements and partnerships were announced, including Agristo Masa's continued expansion and the introduction of AVR's first machine in the Indian market.

This agreement marks another step in Agristo Masa and AVR's international expansion, as they continue to promote Belgian technology on a global scale.

Mr. Stefan Top, Managing Director of AVR, said, “The fields are small, which holds for the entire agriculture sector in India. Like in other developing countries, we are seeing rural depopulation, which means there are less people available to harvest manually. As a result, mechanization is becoming increasingly important to future-proof agriculture in India.”

By utilizing AVR potato harvesters, Agristo Masa benefits from a significantly improved harvesting process, enhanced capacity, and a seamless supply of high-quality potatoes. This reliable and efficient harvesting system plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of Agristo Masa's production lines, meeting the company's stringent quality standards and production demands.
