      Aichi Prefecture, Japan- Aisin Corporation., has announced that its newly developed hybrid unit will be installed in the Mitsubishi Xforce HEV, which was recently unveiled in Thailand by Mitsubishi Motors Corporation.

      The Xforce HEV is the hybrid version of Mitsubishi’s stylish and rugged compact SUV, known for its comfort, practicality, and reliable drivability. This marks a significant milestone for AISIN, as the hybrid unit is its first series-parallel model, jointly developed with Mitsubishi Motors.

      The unit features with incorporating manual transmission technology, which enables seamless switching between motor and engine drive modes based on driving conditions. This innovation enhances fuel efficiency and driving performance without compromising the ease of vehicle installation.

      Production of this hybrid unit will take place at AISIN Powertrain (Thailand) Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of AISIN, making it the company's first electric unit to be manufactured in the ASEAN region. This move is part of AISIN’s broader strategy to establish a global production system for electrification.
