Hasbergen, Germany - AMAZONEN-Werke H. Dreyer GmbH., an agricultural machinery manufacturer, has expanded its range of Catros trailed compact disc harrows with the introduction of the new Catros+ 6003-2TS Special, a 6-meter working width variant designed to offer a cost-effective and weight-optimized solution for efficient soil tillage.
The Catros+ 6003-2TS Special retains all the core advantages of the Catros family, making it suitable for shallow soil cultivation from 5 cm, while also capable of working at depths of up to 14 cm for incorporating larger volumes of organic matter. With an operating speed of up to 18 km/h, the machine ensures high work rates and time-efficient operation.
The Catros+ 6003-2TS Special features a simplified, robust frame design by omitting components like front tools, catch crop seeder boxes, and the double disc roller. This results in an axle load of under 3.5 tonnes, ensuring compliance with transport regulations and easy field handling. The machine comes with a fixed base configuration, including a Category 3 lower linkage, hydraulic working depth adjustment, and 510 mm coarse serrated discs. Operators can also choose from a variety of rollers to suit different soil types and field conditions, optimizing performance.
The Catros+ 6003-2TS Special features Amazone’s Smart Frame System, allowing hydraulic adjustment of working depth while in motion. As the depth increases, the disc carrier arms rotate, ensuring consistent, precise tillage. The machine also includes a swiveling bogey chassis with two positions: Position 1 adds weight for improved disc penetration in heavy soils, while Position 2 enhances balance and smooth operation. Combined with hydraulic shock absorption, this ensures stable performance in tough field conditions.
The Catros+ 6003-2TS Special features maintenance-free disc bearings, reducing lubrication needs and maintenance time. Each disc is individually suspended on elastic rubber sprung elements for superior ground contour adaptation and effective handling of large organic matter volumes.
