AMAZONE Launches FW 580 Flex Ring Packer Roller

Hasbergen, Germany - AMAZONEN-Werke H. Dreyer GmbH., an agricultural machinery manufacturer, has introduced the new FW 580 flex ring packer roller, expanding its range of soil preparation solutions for farmers. Designed for use with Cenio and Cenius mounted cultivators as well as Catros mounted compact disc harrows, the FW 580 combines versatility, precision, and reliability to support modern seedbed preparation practices.

The FW 580 features an open ring design with 200 mm spacing and a narrow 140 mm roller core, making it highly adaptable to a wide variety of soil types, including sandy and loamy terrains. With a total diameter of 580 mm, the roller ensures deep soil reconsolidation while maintaining a loose surface layer — ideal for creating an optimal seedbed.

One of the key advantages of the FW 580 is its spring-mounted rings, which continuously vibrate to produce fine soil and prevent soil and seed carry-over. This contributes significantly to field hygiene, especially when moving between different plots. The spring action also ensures an effective self-cleaning effect, allowing reliable performance even in sticky or damp conditions.

The compact roller core enhances through-passage on light soils, and the strategic arrangement of rings supports a reliable self-driving effect, further improving efficiency during operation.
