AMAZONE launched the Catros+ 03-2 folding mounted disc harrow, with widths from 4-7 meters, plus the trailed TS variant.
Date: February 10, 2025Seattle, Washington - AMAZONEN-WERKE H. DREYER SE & Co. KG., an agricultural machinery manufacturer, has introduced the new folding mounted disc harrow, the Catros+ 03-2, available in working widths of 4, 5, 6, and 7 meters, alongside the trailed TS variant with a bogey chassis. Ideal for shallow and intensive soil tillage, the Catros low pulling power requirement and high forward speeds ensure high work rates with low fuel consumption. The complete third-generation product range includes widths from 2.5 meters to 12 meters.
The Catros+ 03 features a fixed linkage for consistent disc depth and an open-frame design for easy monitoring. The working depth can be adjusted without affecting the top link or front tools. The Smart Frame System ensures efficient operation, maintaining consistent pressure on rear harrows or rollers without re-adjustment.
The Catros+ 03-2TS trailed compact disc harrow features a 3-section design with optional front tools like the robust knife roller for shredding organic matter or the Crushboard for seedbed prep. With a 510 mm disc diameter, it offers working depths from 5-14 cm. The X-Cutter disc, at 480 mm, is available for shallow work (2-8 cm).
Amazone offers the pro-Pack for Catros+ mounted harrows (5-7 m) to incorporate liquid manures, reducing nutrient loss and protecting the environment. A double harrow for 6-7 m models speeds soil drying and warming. Maintenance-free disc bearings and individual suspension ensure durability and optimal contour following with overload protection.
The Smart Frame System allows easy depth adjustments by rotating the disc carrier arms, with discs moving for deeper or shallower work while keeping the frame parallel to the soil. Hydraulic adjustments from the cab ensure optimal clearance and consistent results, offering comfort during brief deep adjustments, especially in tramlines or headlands.
