Hasbergen, Germany - AMAZONEN-Werke H. Dreyer GmbH., an agricultural machinery manufacturer, has launched the latest generation of its Catros+ 12003-2TX compact disc harrow, available in working widths of 12 m and 12.25 m. Designed for high-output shallow soil cultivation, the new model features a completely redesigned chassis and folding system, along with an expanded range of disc options, rear packers, and equipment configurations.
The Catros+ 12003-2TX is suited for stubble cultivation, shallow tillage to conserve soil moisture, incorporation of catch crops and organic fertilisers, and seedbed preparation. Its low tractive force requirement makes it an efficient choice for large-scale farms and contractors.
Key innovations include a 5-part folding system integrated into the mid-mounted TX chassis, offering excellent transport performance with large tyres and optional pneumatic braking for speeds up to 40 km/h. The ComfortClick electric switch box allows quick switching between transport and working positions directly from the cab, enhancing operator comfort and field efficiency.
In operation, the Catros+ 12003-2TX lifts hydraulically to turn smoothly on packer rollers, even on uneven headlands. Farmers can choose 510 mm discs in various types or the 480 mm X-Cutter for shallow, intensive cultivation. Its Smart Frame enables hydraulic depth adjustment, while the 5-part ContourFrame ensures consistent performance on uneven terrain.
For farms operating in Controlled Traffic Farming systems, Amazone offers an extended disc element with a 12.25 m working width. Multiple packer options, including the new DUW 580 double U-profile roller for light soils, complete the package.
With these updates, Amazone positions the Catros+ 12003-2TX as a versatile, high-performance solution for year-round soil management across diverse farming systems.
