Bengaluru-Ampere, the electric two-wheeler brand of Greaves Electric Mobility, has launched the Ampere Magnus G Max, a new electric scooter developed for everyday family mobility in India.

Designed for routine commuting and household use, the Magnus G Max claims a real-world range of over 100 km in Eco mode and comes with boot storage and LFP battery reliability as key selling points. It is powered by a 3 kWh Lithium Ferro Phosphate (LFP) battery and is backed by a 5-year/75,000 km battery warranty, reflecting the brand’s emphasis on safety and long-term durability. Ampere states the scooter can charge from 20% to 80% in about 4.5 hours, making it suitable for city usage and short intercity rides.

The new model is available in Monsoon Blue, Matcha Green, and Cinnamon Copper, featuring a dual-tone design intended to give it a more premium and modern look. For practicality, the scooter offers a 33-litre under-seat boot, positioned among the more spacious storage options in its segment, aimed at meeting daily storage needs for families.

Power delivery comes from a hub-mounted motor producing 1.5 kW nominal and 2.4 kW peak output, supported by Eco, City, and Reverse riding modes. The scooter claims a top speed of up to 65 km/h, and is built on a dual frame chassis with 165 mm ground clearance, intended to handle uneven roads and frequent speed breakers across Indian cities.

Commenting on the launch, Vikas Singh, Managing Director, Greaves Electric Mobility, said the Magnus G Max was developed based on extensive research into how Indian families use scooters, with a focus on improving range consistency, comfort, storage, and battery safety. He added that the product is supported by Ampere’s service and after-sales ecosystem to deliver a reliable ownership experience.

Key features highlighted for the Magnus G Max include the 3 kWh LFP battery, 142 km certified range and 100+ km real-world range, 33-litre storage, hydraulic telescopic front suspension with dual rear shock absorbers, a 3.5-inch LCD digital cluster with USB charging, and LED headlamp and indicators, with optional connected features via a TCU.
