Duxford, Cambridge - SMT GB., has completed the acquisition of Kioti UK, bringing the brand’s UK distribution and technical support operations under domestic ownership. Kioti UK, known for compact tractors, utility vehicles and zero-turn mowers, has operated in the UK for 25 years and was previously part of the Netherlands-based Pols Group.
The acquisition is expected to improve supply chain efficiency by managing machine preparation, administration and support activities directly within the UK rather than overseas. Kioti UK will also benefit from SMT GB’s logistics, financial strength and technical resources as part of the wider SMT Group, which operates across 30 countries with more than 2,000 employees.
Existing Kioti customers and dealers will continue to receive equipment, parts and technical support through the brand’s established network of 58 independent UK dealers. The same Kioti team will remain in place, although customers may begin seeing the SMT GB name on transaction documents.
Mr. Ryan Hollebone, Director of Compact Equipment at SMT GB, said, “The acquisition gives Kioti UK additional stability and resources while maintaining continuity for dealers. Patrick Desmond, General Manager of Kioti UK, described the move as the next chapter for the brand as it marks 25 years in the UK.”
