Apollo Tyres introduces the Vredestein Traxion CropCare, its first VF sprayer tyre, offering 30% more stability, improved self-cleaning, and long-lasting performance for row crops.
Date: November 18, 2024Netherlands, Europe - Apollo Tyres (EU) B.V., an international tyre manufacturer, has launched the premium Vredestein Traxion CropCare, its first VF (Very-High Flexion) sprayer tyre, designed to set new standards in stability, self-cleaning, and durability for row crops. Specifically engineered for trailed and self-propelled sprayers, the tyre will be available in two sizes (VF 380/90 R46 and VF 380/105 R50) when it launches in early 2025.
Row crop tyres are essential for arable farmers and contractors using trailed and self-propelled sprayers, requiring narrow treads to navigate between crop rows. They must provide stability and manage lateral forces from the sprayer's high centre of gravity.
The Vredestein Traxion CropCare features a steel-belted radial carcass, a Stabiliser Ring in the tread’s center, and a Bead Stabilizer, boosting lateral stiffness by 30% over key competitors (internal testing). This results in superior stability and precise driving performance, both on the road and in the field.
Sprayer tyres need to be wear-resistant for longevity under tough conditions like high-speed road use and four-wheel steering. The Vredestein Traxion CropCare features an updated Traxion tread design, ensuring exceptional durability and even wear for a best-in-class lifespan.
Mr. Guido Boerkamp, Head Off-Highway Tyres at Apollo Tyres Europe, said, “This product will be an important addition to our VF agricultural portfolio, ensuring we have highly competitive solutions across all key categories.”
