Sunnyvale, California - Applied Intuition, Inc., a vehicle intelligence and "physical AI" company, and LG Innotek have partnered to integrate self-driving software with advanced camera, lidar, and radar sensors, supporting safer and more scalable autonomous vehicle development.

Applied Intuition is enabling OEMs to speed up production-ready autonomous system development by combining real-world testing with simulation-based validation tailored to LG Innotek’s advanced sensors.

Mr. Qasar Younis, co-founder and CEO of Applied Intuition, said “Autonomous vehicles will only scale if the hardware and software ecosystems evolve together, by working directly with LG Innotek, we’re making it easier for automakers to evaluate sensors, validate performance in simulation and on real roads, and ultimately move autonomy systems from development into production.”

Under this collaboration, LG Innotek’s cameras, lidar, and radar sensors will be deployed across Applied Intuition’s global autonomous test fleet to generate perception feedback and reference data for improving sensor performance in real-world conditions.

Alongside on-road testing, LG Innotek will also bring digital versions of its sensors into Applied Intuition’s simulation platform, allowing automakers to assess performance in virtual environments, speed up development cycles, and reduce integration complexity.

The partnership is also expected to enhance LG Innotek’s capabilities in automotive autonomy, as the company plans to use Applied Intuition’s software and testing expertise to operate its own autonomous test vehicles in Korea and accelerate development of next-generation sensing solutions.

Mr. Hyuksoo Moon, CEO of LG Innotek. Said “Through this collaboration with Applied Intuition, which holds world-leading software technology, we will provide customers with exceptional solutions that set a new standard in autonomous driving, this partnership will propel LG Innotek to global top-tier status in the field of mobility robotics sensing solutions, making it a leader of the physical AI era.”

By integrating sensors and autonomy software at an early stage, the partnership makes it easier for automakers to design and validate autonomous systems. This approach lowers engineering complexity, speeds up development, and helps OEMs launch autonomous vehicles faster.

Although the current focus is on automotive applications, this closely connected hardware-software model also has potential for future use in areas such as robotics and drones.
