Montmeló, Spain- Aprilia has unveiled the RSV4 X-GP at the Catalan Grand Prix, a special edition limited to just 30 units. Created to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the RS-GP’s debut in MotoGP, this machine represents the highest expression of Aprilia Racing’s technology, performance, and exclusivity. The “X” badge stands as a symbol of ultimate racing innovation, inspired by the Roman numeral for ten.

Derived directly from the RS-GP25, the RSV4 X-GP debuts leg wings and tail wings on a production-based motorcycle patented by Aprilia Racing. Combined with front, under, and cornering wings, these features deliver unprecedented downforce during braking and cornering. Ground-effect aerodynamics further stabilize the bike while leaned over, with a carbon-fiber fairing by PAN Compositi boosting vertical load fivefold on straights and tripling it in corners.

The structural carbon-fiber seat support, also crafted by PAN Compositi, merges aerodynamic, design, and strength functions in one component. Its sandwich carbon layup maximizes lightness and rigidity, providing sharper rear-tyre feedback for ultimate rider control.

Highlights include a twin-outlet SC Project exhaust with authentic MotoGP sound, and a special RS-GP25-inspired livery, honoring Aprilia’s latest MotoGP evolution.

The RSV4 X-GP is a 65° V4, 1,099 cc engine tuned to deliver 238 hp at 13,750 rpm and 131 Nm at 11,750 rpm. Equipped with a higher compression ratio, racing air filter, titanium twin-pipe exhaust, and STM dry clutch, it delivers true MotoGP-style performance.

An advanced APX ECU—the same platform used in WorldSBK—manages traction, wheelie control, engine braking, and power delivery, gear by gear. Full data acquisition and a built-in GPS module come standard. Each RSV4 X-GP is delivered with a Yashi laptop, preloaded with ECU tuning software.

Every detail reflects Aprilia’s racing pedigree: carbon-fiber components, Jetprime switchgear, Spider billet-aluminium parts, CNC-machined numbered steering plate, oversized WSBK-derived radiators, titanium sprocket, and RK 520 racing chain.

The proven aluminium dual-beam frame is paired with Öhlins suspension, a pressurized fork, and Brembo GP4 MS braking system with Z04 pads and 330 mm T Drive discs. Forged magnesium Marchesini wheels with Pirelli Superbike slicks complete the package, offering the same grip used in WorldSBK competition.

Mr. Massimo Rivola, Aprilia Racing CEO, said, “Ten years after our return to MotoGP, we wanted to celebrate with a truly special X – one that recalls MotoGP as much as possible and transfers the essence of the RS-GP25 onto a production-derived bike. The RSV4 X-GP is unique, beautiful, and captivating, capable of delivering those very special sensations usually reserved for professional riders, but still perceptible by passionate amateurs. A product for the few, embodying all of Aprilia Racing’s passion, technology, and craftsmanship”.
