Chennai- Ashok Leyland Ltd., of the Hinduja Group today introduced the 1922 4X2 truck in the CNG market. In its segment, the haulage truck provides higher efficiency, power, and range (single fill). Customers have a choice between four alternatives for loading span.
In addition to exceptional fuel efficiency and range, the recently introduced 1922 CNG truck offers longer tyre life, longer service intervals, and overall lower maintenance expenses. All these improved attributes translate into a shorter turnaround time (TAT), which increases profitability for fleet owners.

The industry is now, witnessing an increase in demand for CNG variants for applications like e-commerce, parcel loads, auto-parts, FMCG, and this new range will further strengthen our portfolio, helping us improve our market share in the fast-growing CNG space.
The truck has a variety of cylinder configurations with loading spans ranging from 6.1 m (20 ft) to 9.75 m (32 ft). The 1922 CNG truck has an overall range of more than 1150 kilometers on a single fill. The reliable 162 kW (220 horsepower) H6 CNG engine powers it. For greater durability and a 4 Years/4 Lacs km guarantee option, heavy-duty aggregates are offered.
