Ashok Leyland Debuts ‘SAATHI’ at Auto Expo

SAATHI redefines entry-level LCVs and also unveiled are a premium 15m fully built bus and India’s first electric port-terminal tractor.

New Delhi - Ashok Leyland., the flagship of Hinduja Group and a commercial vehicle provider, unveiled ‘SAATHI’, a premium entry-level Light Commercial Vehicle at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo. The launch, led by Shri HD Kumaraswamy, Union Minister and Shenu Agarwal, MD & CEO, sets a new benchmark in the LCV segment.

SAATHI, a segment disruptor, features advanced LNT technology, delivering 45 HP, 110 Nm torque, a 24% larger loading area, and a 1120 kg payload. With superior mileage, larger tires, no AdBlue requirement, and a 5-year/2-lakh-km warranty, it redefines last-mile urban mobility with unmatched performance and comfort.

Ashok Leyland unveiled the eTIRAN, India’s first electric port terminal tractor, offering a customizable battery range of 180-350 km, advanced safety features like ADAS, and an air-conditioned cabin, set to revolutionize port operations with sustainable solutions.
