Chennai- Ashok Leyland Limited., of the Hinduja Group, a manufacturer of commercial vehicles, reported sales figures for the May 2024, sales for M&HCV Trucks increased by 1.1% to 6,648 units compared to May 2023. M&HCV Busses saw a significant increase of 87.1% in sales, reaching 1,903 units in May 2024. Overall, total M&HCV sales grew by 12.7% to 8,551 units. LCV sales growth a 10.7% decline to 5,301 units in May 2024. Despite the drop in LCV sales, total vehicle sales increased by 11.9% to 13,852 units in May 2024.

Total vehicle sales including domestic and exports increased by 11.8% to 14682 units. M&HCV Trucks sales increase 1.8% with 6780 units. M&HCV Bus sales increased by 53% to 2463 units. Overall, total M&HCV sales growth by 11.8% to 9243 units. LCV sales also saw a rise of 12% to 5498 units.
