Ashok Leyland secures Defence Orders for Military Mobility
Ashok Leyland secures ₹700 Cr (81.859 million), defence orders for troop transport, logistics & CIWS mobility, reinforcing leadership in military vehicles.

Chennai- Ashok Leyland Limited., of the Hinduja Group and the largest logistics vehicle supplier to the Indian Army, has secured defence contracts worth over ₹700 crore (81.859 million), The orders include troop transporters, logistics vehicles, and specialised mobility solutions under the Close-in Weapon Systems (CIWS) program.
The contracts cover a range of vehicles, including the Stallion 4x4, Stallion 6x6, Short Chassis Bus, and Mobility System Travelling Platform. Designed for rugged terrains, these vehicles enhance operational efficiency for the Armed and Paramilitary Forces, reinforcing Ashok Leyland’s leadership in advanced land mobility solutions.
