Chennai / UKSwitch Mobility Ltd, the UK-based subsidiary of Ashok Leyland Ltd (formerly Optare Plc.), has completed the full acquisition of Switch Mobility Automotive Ltd, Chennai. This move strengthens Ashok Leyland’s commitment to electric mobility and aligns with its vision for a cleaner, sustainable future in transportation.

Founded in December 2020, Switch Mobility Automotive focuses on the manufacturing and sale of electric vehicles (EVs), playing a key role in India's EV transition. The acquisition is expected to accelerate innovation in zero-emission transportation solutions.
