Chennai –Ashok Leyland Ltd of Chennai, a manufacturer of commercial vehicles has launched Ecomet Star 18151 truck in 17.5 T GVW category. The Ecomet Star 1815 is targeted at long haul customers seeking higher payload and a faster turnaround time.

1The Ecomet Star 1815, which is powered by H Series engines that develop maximum power of 150Hp and 450 Nm torque which is fitted with 6 speed synchromesh (6F+1R)(cable shift It has a 4x2 configuration with a wheelbase options of 4200 mm, 4750 mm, 5200 mm. It has 5 loading spans - 20ft /22ft /24ft (with Day cabin) and 20ft & 22ft (with Sleeper cabin). It has a payload capacity of 11.74 ton. It is also equipped with air brakes for enhanced braking and safety. Other highlights include a new digital dashboard with Advanced Digital Driver Assist, advanced telematics (i-Alert), remote diagnostics with 24×7 customer assistance through Uptime Solution Centre.
