Pune- Astro Motors Private Limited., a commercial electric mobility, has unveiled two groundbreaking products in the L5 segment Astro Navya and Astro Nova at the EV Expo in Pune. These launches mark a significant leap in the company’s mission to deliver user-focused innovations that enhance both operational efficiency and everyday experience. 

Astro Navya is a first-of-its-kind geared electric commercial three-wheeler in India, specifically engineered to address real-world challenges faced by fleet operators and drivers. Equipped with a powerful motor, long-lasting battery, and an efficient gearbox, Navya sets a new benchmark in critical performance areas payload capacity, battery longevity, road handling, and performance in stop-start traffic or hilly terrain.

The brand’s campaign, “Gear hai to sahi hai”, highlights the practical advantages of a geared EV for cargo—communicating its benefits in a simple, relatable, and powerful manner. The campaign has been rolled out across Astro’s digital platforms, resonating strongly with its target audience.

Astro Nova redefines the traditional auto rickshaw experience, focusing on elevated comfort and spaciousness for both drivers and passengers. In an era where ride-sharing and premium auto services are on the rise, Nova offers a bold step forward in transforming an everyday commute into a more premium journey.

With the campaign “Auto ka SUV”, Astro Motors positions Nova as the go-to choice for those seeking comfort and space without compromising on the familiarity of an auto rickshaw. The message is clear: “Duniya badal gayi, lekin auto rickshaw nahin badli”—until now.

With Navya and Nova, Astro Motors demonstrates a strong commitment to solving real problems through thoughtful innovation. Both products not only push the boundaries of design and performance but also reflect a deeper understanding of the evolving needs of Indian mobility users. 

Mr. Vitan Jagada, Founder & CEO, Astro Motors said, "Astro's first commercial product, a geared electric L5 cargo vehicle, is ready for rollout, with deliveries set to begin soon. Our L5 passenger variant is undergoing homologation for a July 2025 launch, followed by L3 cargo and passenger vehicles in October 2025.

Astro Motors plans to launch a fully IP-owned modular four-wheeler EV chassis by early FY 2026, with licensing opportunities for OEMs. Targeting both B2B and B2C markets, Astro is focused on rapid growth across India and emerging global markets.

At a recent launch, Astro introduced its flagship L5 EVs—Navya (cargo) and Nova (passenger)—backed by strong dealer and finance partnerships.
