Ather Konarc Launches in Delhi With New EV Policy Support

New Delhi, India- Ather Energy Limited., has launched the new Konarc electric scooter in Delhi at an introductory price of Rs. 79,999, including the applicable subsidy. The launch comes as Delhi’s EV Policy 2026 provides incentives for eligible electric two-wheelers.

Under Delhi’s EV Policy 2026, electric two-wheelers registered during the first year can receive a purchase incentive of Rs. 10,000 per kWh, subject to a maximum of Rs. 30,000 per vehicle. The policy applies to eligible models with an ex-showroom price of up to Rs. 2.25 lakh.

The subsidy reduces in subsequent years. During the second year, the incentive is Rs. 6,600 per kWh with a maximum of Rs. 20,000, while the third year provides Rs. 3,300 per kWh, capped at Rs. 10,000. This means the timing of different Konarc variants could affect the subsidy available to buyers.

The Konarc S is available with 125km and 161km IDC range options in select cities, while the 100km version is expected to arrive in Q4 FY27. The Konarc Z 125km and 161km variants are expected around Q1 FY28, while the 200km Konarc S is expected around Q3 FY28.

Delhi’s EV policy also provides a separate Rs. 10,000 scrapping incentive for eligible buyers who scrap a Delhi-registered BS-IV or older two-wheeler through an authorised facility. The incentive is separate from the battery-based purchase subsidy and could further support electric two-wheeler adoption in the capital.
