Gujarat- Atul Greentech Private Limited., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Atul Auto Limited., has formed a strategic alliance with Amara Raja Group for the development and supply of electric vehicle batteries and chargers. This collaboration marks a pivotal move in supporting the nation's push for sustainable and self-reliant mobility solutions.

According to the joint statement issued on Tuesday, the partnership will focus on the development and supply of Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery packs and chargers for electric vehicles. Importantly, the alliance also extends to the development of advanced chemistry cells, supporting India’s “Atma Nirbhar Bharat” initiative by reducing reliance on imported technologies and promoting domestic innovation.

A tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in Ahmedabad between Amara Raja Advanced Cell Technologies (ARACT) – a wholly-owned subsidiary of Amara Raja Energy & Mobility (ARE&M), Atul Greentech Private Limited, and Amara Raja Power Systems Limited.

Under this agreement, battery packs tailored for Atul Greentech’s electric three-wheelers will be manufactured at Amara Raja’s state-of-the-art Giga Corridor facility in Divitipalli, Telangana.

Mr. Vijay Kedia, Director at Atul Auto Limited, said, “Amara Raja and Atul Greentech have shared a mutually beneficial relationship over the years. Together, we are confident of further accelerating our EV journey as India adapts to electric mobility.”

Mr. Vijayanand Samudrala, President New Energy at ARE&M, said, “Amara Raja Group is committed to playing a catalytic role in India’s energy transition. This new agreement is a significant milestone that will expand both partners’ product portfolios and capabilities.”

This strategic tie-up is poised to bolster India’s EV infrastructure, particularly in the three-wheeler segment, and contribute meaningfully to the country’s clean energy and carbon reduction goals.
