Audi Launches New A6 Avant with Hybrid Efficiency

Audi AG unveils the new A6 Avant, a dynamic and efficient luxury vehicle with MHEV hybrid technology for enhanced performance and lower emissions.

Ingolstadt, Germany - Audi AG, a luxury vehicles manufacturer, unveils the new Audi A6 Avant, now more dynamic, efficient, and digital than ever. As a benchmark for first-class travel in the premium full-size class, it features advanced gasoline and diesel engines with MHEV mild hybrid technology, enhancing performance while reducing CO₂ emissions.

The A6 Avant combines adaptive air suspension and all-wheel steering for superior comfort and agility. With a best-in-class 0.25 drag coefficient, it balances efficiency with style. New digital lighting enhances its sporty exterior, while the Audi MMI panoramic and front passenger displays ensure an intuitive infotainment experience.

The MHEV plus mild hybrid system enhances performance, comfort, and efficiency. Available with a 2.0 TDI (150 kW/204 PS) or a 3.0 TFSI (270 kW/367 PS) engine, it supports the combustion engine while reducing emissions. The system includes a 48-volt battery, a belt alternator starter (BAS), and a powertrain generator (PTG) with integrated power electronics. The PTG enables electric parking, low-speed city driving, coasting, and adds up to 230 Nm of torque and 18 kW (24 PS) for acceleration. It also recovers up to 25 kW of energy during deceleration.

The A6 Avant’s sleek design reflects both function and timeless appeal, with a class-leading 0.25 drag coefficient. Large air curtains, adjustable cool-air intakes, a striking roof spoiler, and aerodynamic rear panels enhance efficiency. Its sporty rear, bold diffuser, and signature quattro blisters emphasize dynamic styling, while the long wheelbase and extended hood add elegance and balance.

The new A6 Avant combines sportiness and comfort with optional all-wheel steering, adaptive air suspension, and a quattro sport differential for agility. Its refined interior features panoramic and passenger displays, customizable digital lighting, and OLED rear lights. A panoramic glass roof, Bang & Olufsen 3D sound, advanced acoustics, four-zone climate control, and an air quality package enhance comfort and luxury.
