Audi Reveals AUDI E7X Electric SUV for China

Ingolstadt, Germany- AUDI AG., has revealed the first exterior details of the AUDI E7X, a fully electric premium SUV that will enter series production as the second model from the China-exclusive sister brand AUDI. The reveal follows the debut of the AUDI E SUV concept at Auto Guangzhou 2025 and offers a clear preview of the production-ready design. The AUDI E7X will make its public debut at Auto China 2026 in Beijing, scheduled from April 24 to May 3, 2026, ahead of its market launch in the first half of 2026.

Designed specifically for Chinese customers, the AUDI E7X blends Audi’s premium engineering and driving dynamics with advanced digital innovations developed in partnership with SAIC Motor. The model reflects Audi’s strategy of addressing new customer segments in China through the AUDI sister brand, which is written in capital letters and deliberately omits the traditional four-ring logo.

The production version stays true to the expressive design language of the original concept. Measuring 5,049 mm in length, 2,002 mm in width, and 1,708 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,060 mm, the E7X combines generous interior space with a strong and dynamic SUV presence. Clean surfaces and distinctive light signatures at the front and rear create a calm yet striking appearance, while the upright front end with vertically arranged digital Matrix LED headlights integrated into a black wraparound loop gives the SUV a bold visual identity. Muscular wheel arches and short overhangs further emphasize its athletic proportions.

The AUDI E7X will be offered with two electric powertrain options, delivering system outputs of 300 kW and 500 kW, ensuring high performance and confident driving characteristics. According to Fermín Soneira, the E7X is designed without compromise, combining confident design, sporty proportions, and everyday usability to meet customer expectations in China’s premium EV segment.

Developed on the Advanced Digitized Platform and co-created by Audi and SAIC teams in Germany and China, the AUDI E7X represents a new generation of intelligent, connected vehicles. This close cross-border collaboration has also enabled significantly shorter development cycles. While fully integrated into China’s digital ecosystem, the E7X retains core Audi attributes such as premium quality, refined driving dynamics, and advanced technology.

With the E7X, Audi continues to expand its electric and digital footprint in China, positioning the AUDI brand as a complementary offering to its global portfolio and reinforcing its long-term commitment to the world’s largest automotive market.
