Ingolstadt, Germany – Audi AG, a manufacturer of luxury vehicles and motorcycles, has introduced the new Q9, a large luxury SUV focused on comfort and space. It comes with up to seven seats, electric doors, easy access to the third row, a large panoramic sunroof, and a 4D sound system.
Mr. Gernot Döllner, Audi CEO, said “With the Q9, ‘Vorsprung durch Technik’ is increasingly defined by the in-car experience, Cars have long been much more than just a means of transportation; they are mobile living spaces for our customers. Premium materials, variable seating with individual electric seats in the second row, and automatic doors underscore the commitment to quality in our new, large full-size SUV.”
Audi has designed the new Q9 with a strong focus on space, comfort and luxury. The SUV is available with six- or seven-seat layouts. The six-seat version offers two individual electric seats in the second row with ventilation, while the seven-seat version is suitable for larger families. All three second-row seats can hold child seats, and the third-row seats can be folded electrically to create more luggage space.
For the first time in an Audi, all doors can be opened and closed electrically using the key, myAudi app, MMI system, brake pedal or seatbelt buckle. The wide-opening doors make entry easier, while sensors help stop the doors from hitting obstacles or approaching road users.
The Q9 also features a large panoramic sunroof that brings more light into the cabin. It has nine glass sections that can be switched to opaque for sun protection and privacy. The glass also blocks heat and more than 99.5% of UV rays. In the top trim, the roof includes LED lighting with 30 colour options.
Inside, Audi has added premium lighting and an updated Bang & Olufsen 4D sound system. The lighting runs across the cabin and can react to music, while seat actuators allow passengers to feel the sound as well as hear it.
The cabin uses high-quality materials such as wool, Dinamica microfiber, leather, fine Nappa leather, wood trims and carbon-fibre accents. New colour options, matte surfaces and textured finishes give the interior a calm and premium feel.
Audi’s largest SUV also offers practical storage solutions, including a redesigned center console, two wireless phone chargers, USB-C ports with up to 100W charging, flexible cargo rails in the boot and a roof rack included as standard.
