Avant Tecno Introduces Forestry Mulcher at CONEXPO

Las Vegas, USA – Avant Tecno., a compact equipment manufacturer, has unveiled two new land-clearing attachments for its articulating compact wheel loaders at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026: a Forestry Mulcher and an upgraded Timber Grab, designed to enhance efficiency in vegetation management and material handling.

The Forestry Mulcher is engineered for clearing bushes, brushwood and light vegetation while also cutting and crushing small trees and grinding small tree stumps above ground level. The attachment features a hydraulic-drive motor mounted on the rotor equipped with carbide crushing and mulching teeth.

A hydraulically operated front hood allows operators to cut standing trees and brush more effectively by enabling material to enter the rotor smoothly. When closed, the hood helps prevent debris from ejecting and improves the mulching process. The unit also includes a horizontal push bar to guide and manage cut material and can assist in moving fallen trees and branches.

Support skid shoes and adjustable counterblades at the front and rear come standard, while knife-type cutting blades and a hydraulic oil cooler are available as optional features. For safety, Avant requires loaders to be equipped with an enclosed cab when operating the Forestry Mulcher due to the risk of debris ejection. The attachment is compatible with Avant models 645i, 650i, 755i, 760i, 855i and 860i.

Alongside the mulcher, Avant also introduced an updated version of its Timber Grab, one of the company’s most widely used attachments. Designed for handling tree trunks, branches, wood waste and other materials such as curb stones, the attachment allows operators to transport loads both lengthwise and crosswise, enabling easier movement through narrow spaces and flexible loading onto trailers or piles.
