Paris, France – AXEMA., a trade association for the ag machinery industry, has appointed Delphine Guey as its new Director General. She will officially succeed Laurent De Buyer in early 2026, following his four-year tenure in the role and more than two decades of service to the agricultural equipment sector.
In her new position, Guey will continue the initiatives launched under De Buyer’s leadership, including the debut of AgriSIMA in 2026, while further strengthening AXEMA’s ability to support its members through the ongoing transformations in the ag machinery sector.
Aged 51, Guey brings extensive experience in communications, public affairs, and industry leadership. She holds a postgraduate degree in Biotechnology and Plant Production from Paris 7 University, and an MBA in Strategic Management and Economic Intelligence from ESLSCA Business School.
Her career spans roles in communications and public affairs across the agri-food and plant sectors. She worked 17 years with GNIS (now SEMAE), where she advanced to Deputy Director of External Relations, before joining the Union of the Plant Protection Industry (UIPP, now Phyteis) in 2017 as Director of Communications and Public Affairs. There, she spearheaded the launch of “Le Siècle Vert” (The Green Century), an initiative promoting dialogue on pesticide use.
Guey later served as Senior Manager for Institutional Affairs at Philip Morris France and, since 2021, as Director of Communications, Public Affairs, and Societal Engagement at Yara France. In 2022, she was also elected President of the Union of Fertilizer Industries (UNIFA) for a three-year term.
Her appointment marks a new chapter for AXEMA as it navigates industry transitions and prepares for the launch of new initiatives to strengthen the role of agricultural machinery in sustainable farming.
