Bengaluru- Axiscades Technologies Ltd., has appointed Dr. Sampath Ravinarayanan as a Non-Executive Director. The decision was approved by the Board of Directors following a recommendation from the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.
Dr. Sampath Ravinarayanan, a prominent leader in the Indian aerospace and defence sector, has over four decades of industry experience. Formerly the CEO and Chairman of AXISCADES Technologies Ltd. until 2014, he played a key role in securing the Airbus Fuselage Development Centre contract and leading the Mirage2000 midlife extension project with Thales International and MBDA. He also founded Microcon Instruments and Systems in 1983, one of the first private Indian companies to engage in defence programs. In 2020, he was awarded an honorary PhD by the National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra.
