Pune -Bajaj Auto Ltd., has announced a major update to its electric scooter lineup under the Bajaj Chetak brand. The company has introduced a new “C Series” structure, which divides the range into C 35, C 30, and C 25 models to make the lineup more simple and easy for customers to understand.
Along with this new structure, Bajaj has upgraded performance, charging speed, and smart features across the range. The aim of this update is to improve daily riding convenience and make the scooters more modern, practical, and feature-rich.
The top model, C 35 01, now gets built-in Google Maps navigation through the Chetak app, making navigation easier and more user-friendly. It also comes with improved performance, including a higher motor output of 4.8kW and a top speed of 80 km/h. Other models in the C 35 and C 30 range also get higher top speeds, while the new C 25 01 offers a top speed of 60 km/h.
Charging has also been improved, with the C 30 01 now charging from 0–80% in just 2 hours and 55 minutes, which is faster than before and more convenient for daily use.
In addition, features like Eco and Sport ride modes and hill-hold assist are now standard in the C 35 and C 30 series, instead of being optional. Some variants like the C 35 01 and C 35 02 also support over-the-air (OTA) updates, allowing users to get new features and improvements without visiting a service centre.
