Pune -Bajaj Auto Ltd., has introduced an updated version of the Dominar 400, now powered by a new 350 cc engine. The update is aimed at aligning with the revised GST structure, which offers lower tax applicability for motorcycles under 350 cc. The company stated that the revision focuses on reducing ownership costs while retaining the motorcycle’s touring performance, comfort, and long-distance capability.
The updated Dominar continues to be positioned as a touring-focused motorcycle designed for highway performance and long-distance riding. Bajaj Auto Limited emphasized that the model retains its core identity as a capable all-rounder, while becoming more accessible to a wider set of customers.
The company has streamlined the product positioning to ensure the same riding experience and touring DNA, with improved affordability through taxation benefits passed on to customers.
Mr. Sarang Kanade, President - MCBU, Bajaj Auto Ltd. ,said, "that the Dominar continues to represent the brand’s touring philosophy—powerful, capable, and built for long-distance journeys. He added that the updated version maintains this legacy while improving accessibility and overall ownership value."
The exact specifications of the new 350 cc engine have not yet been disclosed by Bajaj Auto Limited. It remains unclear whether the company will adopt a revised 349 cc unit or an updated version of the earlier 373 cc engine used in previous Dominar and Pulsar models.
