Spelle, Germany - Bernard KRONE Holding SE & Co. KG., an agricultural machinery manufacturer, has introduced the Swadro BaleTrain TC 880 Pro, an innovative machine combination that merges swathing and baling into a single-person operation. Built on a modified Swadro TC 880 twin-rotor rake paired with a round baler, the system aims to improve efficiency, reduce operating costs, and lower environmental impact.
The combination requires only a baler with a K 80 ball-head hitch and a 540 rpm PTO drive. Intelligent sequential controls automatically synchronize both machines, cutting fuel consumption, CO₂ emissions, and field passes while easing ground pressure and operator workload. For added flexibility, both the rake and baler can still be operated independently.
The Swadro BaleTrain TC 880 Pro is connected via forced steering, ensuring precise tracking so the baler can pick up swaths cleanly—even on tight curves and headlands. Its manual gearbox guarantees the correct drive speed for the baler while allowing rotor speeds to be adjusted to field conditions.
Operator convenience is enhanced by the AutoBale system, which automates key functions such as rotor lifting during net or film insertion, reversing, and automatic steering for uniform bale formation. The steering system adjusts rake movement in real time to ensure optimal chamber filling, even in uneven crop conditions.
Control is centralized through a new ISOBUS interface, enabling operators to manage both rake and baler functions—including pick-up, tailgate, and lifting—directly from the rake’s terminal.
With its integrated design, automated processes, and operator-friendly controls, the Swadro BaleTrain TC 880 Pro offers contractors and farmers a highly efficient solution for modern forage harvesting.
