Netherlands, Europe - BFS Group Ltd., (Bidfood) a food logistics company, progressively integrating Renault Trucks., a part of Volvo Group Company’s, E-Tech vehicles to its fleet. Renault Trucks marked a major achievement during a recent delivery to a Dutch customer, celebrating the production of its 2,000th electric truck at the Blainville-sur-Orne factory.

With 25 electric trucks already in operation and an additional 25 scheduled for deployment, the company is taking bold steps to revolutionize the logistics industry. Mr. Dick Slootweg, Managing Director of Bidfood Netherlands, said, "These tangible results show that electromobility is not a distant ambition but an operational and effective reality. It allows us to reduce our environmental footprint while meeting our customers' growing expectations for sustainability."

Mr. Jerome Berthelet, Managing Director of Renault Trucks Netherlands, said, "For three years, we have worked closely with Bidfood to integrate electric vehicles into their fleet and address the operational challenges of their logistics. This collaboration has enabled us to develop customised solutions aligned with their constraints and decarbonisation ambitions."

Renault Trucks Blainville-sur-Orne plant, Europe’s first to mass-produce electric trucks, has built the E-Tech D and D Wide models since 2020. The 2,000th EV delivery to Bidfood Netherlands reflects rising demand for decarbonised mobility.
