Birkey’s Farm Appoints Mike O’Neil as New Store Manager

Champaign, Illinois - Birkey's Farm Store, Inc., an agricultural and construction equipment dealer, has appointed Mike O’Neil as the new store manager of its Bloomington, Illinois, location. With more than 20 years of experience in the equipment industry, O’Neil brings deep industry knowledge, strong leadership skills, and a lifelong connection to central Illinois to his new role.

O’Neil’s roots in the region run deep. He grew up in LeRoy and attended Illinois State University, gaining both his education and early life experiences in the heart of Illinois farm country. Today, he resides with his family in the rural area between Ellsworth and Arrowsmith, strengthening his long-standing ties to the community he now serves professionally.

Over the course of his career, O’Neil has earned a reputation for his dedication to customer service, his ability to lead successful teams, and his understanding of the agricultural and construction equipment needs of local producers and contractors. His familiarity with the equipment business, paired with his community-first mindset, make him a natural fit for managing Birkey’s Bloomington location.

Outside of work, O’Neil is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hunting, farming, camping, and snowmobiling with his family. His personal interests reflect the values of many of Birkey’s customers, and his lifestyle gives him unique insight into the challenges and opportunities facing the rural Midwest.

In addition to his professional and recreational pursuits, O’Neil remains actively involved in public service. He currently serves on the McLean County Board and previously held a position as a trustee for Dawson Township. His commitment to civic engagement underscores his dedication to the communities he serves both personally and professionally.
