Knoxville, Tennessee – Blue Diamond Attachments, a compact equipment attachments manufacturer, has introduced its new Extreme Duty Series 2 augers, designed for skid steers, compact track loaders, excavators, tractors and mini skid steers.
Built for demanding drilling applications, the new augers are aimed at landscapers, utility contractors and municipalities working in rocky, heavy or challenging soil conditions. The attachments are engineered to deliver high torque, improved drilling efficiency and long service life.
The Extreme Duty Series 2 lineup includes six models — EX2, EX3, EX4HF, EX5HF, EX6HF and EX7HF — offering torque ratings from 2,630 to 7,189 ft-lbs., depending on the model. Each unit features an Eaton drive motor and comes standard with 2-in. or 2.5-in. hex shafts.
According to Blue Diamond, the compact high-torque drive design allows the auger to extend deeper into the hole, helping improve drilling depth and productivity.
Drew Truan, CEO of Blue Diamond Attachments, said the new augers give operators greater flexibility by allowing them to use the same machine across multiple attachment applications, from brush cutters and grapple buckets to drilling tasks.
Key features include a two-piece shaft design for higher side-load ratings, a universal skid steer mount with welded cradle and dual-pin design, excavator mount compatibility through an 18x19 adapter plate, and an optional telescopic skid steer mount for extended reach.
Blue Diamond also offers a range of compatible bits, including heavy-duty bits, cast-head bits, rock bits and tree bits, along with auger extensions and adapters.
The Extreme Duty Series 2 augers are backed by Blue Diamond’s satisfaction guarantee, a 5-year gearbox warranty, 3-year motor warranty and lifetime shaft pull-out warranty.
