Pune- Blue Energy Motors Limited(BEM)., a green truck manufacturer, has launched its new electric heavy-duty truck with battery swapping technology. The launch took place at the company’s modern factory in Chakan, Pune, which can produce 10,000 trucks a year. The event was attended by Maharashtra Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis, who also inaugurated India’s first electric corridor between Mumbai and Pune.

The new Mumbai–Pune electric corridor is the first step in a larger plan to electrify all major national highways in India over the next three years. This project will help build a cleaner and more efficient transport system and support India’s Net Zero goals.

To meet the growing demand for electric trucks, BEM has signed an MoU with the Maharashtra government to build a new factory with a capacity of 30,000 trucks, backed by an investment of ₹3,500 crore. The company has already received strong market interest and is signing agreements for over 10,000 electric trucks. BEM’s advanced technology helps its electric trucks achieve the lowest running cost (TCO) in the industry.

Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis said, “This launch showcases Maharashtra’s leadership in sustainable innovation. Blue Energy Motors’ Made-in-India Electric Truck with Battery Swapping Technology, along with the Mumbai–Pune corridor, India’s first highway to go electric, aligns seamlessly with the nation’s vision for Atmanirbhar Bharat and for a greener, self-reliant future. I applaud their efforts in advancing both environmental sustainability and industrial growth.”

Mr. Anirudh Bhuwalka, Founder and Managing Director of Blue Energy Motors, said, “We believe this is the beginning of the EV revolution in India for heavy-duty trucks. Our electric truck offers unlimited range through battery swapping, the highest payload in its category, and Advanced Mobility Intelligence for superior fleet reliability. The Mumbai–Pune corridor is the first step in building a nationwide network of sustainable logistics, driving India’s green freight future forward. With our Energy-as-a-Service model, we are redefining fleet economics—offering reduced upfront costs, the lowest TCO, minimal charging downtime, and a truly green, renewable energy-powered freight ecosystem.”

With this launch, Blue Energy Motors reinforces its position as a pioneer in India’s commercial EV landscape, paving the way for large-scale electrification of the nation’s logistics and transportation network.
