BMW Motorrad India Launches New BMW S 1000 R

Gurugram- BMW Motorrad India., has launched the new BMW S 1000 R, the much-awaited roadster that blends dynamic styling with the performance DNA of a superbike. The motorcycle will be available as a completely built-up unit (CBU) and can be booked at all BMW Motorrad dealerships across the country starting today.

The new BMW S 1000 R will be offered in three attractive colour schemes. Customers can choose between Blackstorm Metallic, Bluefire/Mugiallo Yellow with the Style Sport package, or the exclusive Lightwhite Uni/M Motorsport finish available only with the M package. Each colourway enhances the roadster’s bold presence and amplifies its sporting appeal.

Financial solutions are available through BMW India Financial Services, including flexible financing and options for rider gear and accessories. For complete peace of mind, the motorcycle comes with a standard warranty of three years and unlimited kilometres, which can be extended to the fourth and fifth year. Customers will also benefit from 24x7 roadside assistance, ensuring prompt support in case of emergencies.

The new BMW S 1000 R is a 999 cc, four-cylinder, four-stroke, oil/water-cooled engine that delivers 170 hp (125 kW) at 11,000 rpm and 114 Nm of torque at 9,250 rpm. The machine accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds and reaches an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h. With a linear torque curve and improved rideability, the engine offers a wider and more harmonious speed range, while an additional 5 hp over the previous generation further boosts performance. Riders may also opt for the M Endurance chain with shorter secondary gear ratio for added efficiency and reduced maintenance.

The new S 1000 R is equipped with a suite of standard features designed to deliver the ultimate riding experience. These include Headlight Pro with daytime riding lights, M quick-action throttle, engine drag torque control, riding modes such as Rain, Road and Dynamic, hill start control, a 6.5-inch TFT display with connectivity, USB charging port, full LED lighting, and a six-axis sensor system that integrates ABS Pro and Dynamic Traction Control.

Customers can further personalise their motorcycle with optional equipment packages. The Dynamic Package adds features such as Dynamic Damping Control, Pro Riding Modes, Shift Assistant Pro and an engine spoiler. The Comfort Package offers conveniences like Keyless Ride, cruise control, heated grips and tyre pressure control. The M Sport Package enhances performance and styling with exclusive paintwork, M Sport seat, lightweight battery, sports silencer, M Endurance chain, GPS Laptrigger and forged or carbon wheels.

The multifunctional 6.5-inch TFT display sets new standards in clarity and information. It offers three Core Ride screen layouts, practical arrow navigation with route import, multiple waypoint guidance and full integration with the BMW Motorrad Connectivity App. The intuitive multi-controller ensures seamless access to all vehicle and connectivity functions.
