Munich, Germany - BMW AG, a manufacturer of luxury automobiles and motorcycles, has introduced the new BMW 7 Series Sedan as a bold statement in the luxury car segment, combining premium comfort, advanced technology, powerful performance and exclusive design. As BMW’s flagship sedan, the new 7 Series strengthens the brand’s position in the global luxury market while bringing several key technologies from the Neue Klasse into an existing BMW model for the first time.

Since its debut in 1977, the BMW 7 Series has been known as an innovation leader, introducing new safety features, digital systems and luxury technologies across generations. Now entering its seventh generation, the model receives one of the most extensive updates in BMW Group history and begins a wider technology rollout that will influence future BMW vehicles across different segments and powertrain options.

The new 7 Series features BMW’s latest luxury design language, with a strong exterior profile, illuminated BMW kidney grille, minimalist crystal headlights and a refined rear design. Personalisation options include BMW Individual Dual-Finish paintwork, M Sport packages, M Performance variants and a wide range of wheel options, including new 22-inch wheels.

Inside, the sedan offers a highly premium cabin with leather, wood, crystal glass, metal and high-quality fabric materials. Key highlights include BMW Panoramic iDrive, the new BMW Passenger Screen, an upgraded BMW Theatre Screen, ambient lighting, Bowers & Wilkins audio with Dolby Atmos, comfort seats, Executive Lounge options, automatic doors, panoramic glass roof and four-zone climate control.

The new BMW 7 Series also delivers a more advanced digital experience with BMW Operating System X, improved voice control, Amazon Alexa+ AI integration, BMW Maps, smartphone connectivity, BMW Digital Key Plus, over-the-air updates and connected services. Rear passengers benefit from 8K streaming, gaming, video calls and entertainment apps through the Passenger Screen and Theatre Screen.

BMW continues its technology-open strategy by offering the new 7 Series with efficient combustion engines, plug-in hybrid variants and fully electric models. The electric version benefits from sixth-generation BMW eDrive technology and cylindrical battery cells, offering more than 720 km / 447 miles of WLTP electric range. Intelligent charging, adaptive energy recovery and charging-optimised route planning further improve usability.

The sedan also brings advanced driver assistance and safety technologies, including BMW Symbiotic Drive, AI-supported parking, SAE Level 2 assistance, hands-free motorway driving up to 130 km/h in selected European countries, City Assistant and enhanced safety functions. These systems are designed to improve comfort, safety and confidence during driving and parking.

BMW has also focused on balancing driving pleasure with passenger comfort. Adaptive two-axle air suspension, electronically controlled dampers, Integral Active Steering, roll stabilisation, AI-based tyre monitoring and upgraded braking systems help deliver both dynamic handling and luxury ride comfort.

The BMW 7 Series Protection adds another layer to the model range, combining luxury with high-level security. It offers protection against firearms and explosives, with VR9 certification and optional VPAM 10 classification, supported by BMW’s Protection Core armouring structure.

Sustainability is another major focus of the new 7 Series. BMW is using recycled materials, renewable energy, improved production methods and TÜV-certified carbon footprint verification to reduce lifecycle emissions. The BMW i7, in particular, benefits from Gen6 battery technology and components made with higher recycled content.
