West Fargo, North Dakota - Bobcat Company., a member of the Doosan Group, introduced new tractor models, marking its entry into the higher-horsepower utility sector with the launch of the UT6000 Series.

The UT6066, with 66 horsepower, is offered in both open station and cab configurations, while the 74 horsepower UT6573 is available only with a cab. All models feature front-wheel assist and are powered by a Daedong turbocharged diesel engine. They come equipped with a 12 x 12 power shuttle transmission, standard across the entire lineup.

Mr. Johnathan Widmer, Product Specialist at Bobcat, said, "This is the size class where hydrostatic (transmissions) go away and we get into the gear driven. There’s no foot clutching; you’re doing all the clutching electronically with your thumb. When you look at all the competitive models, everyone in this space is doing it (power shuttle transmissions), at least as an option. But not everybody does it as standard.”

The power shuttle's response can be adjusted for a smoother or quicker direction change, based on the operator's preference and task. Additionally, the larger tractors introduce several new features for the brand, including a mechanical self-leveling front-end loader, LED lights, and a PTO cruise function. Inside the cab, operators will experience a familiar environment and trim level, similar to other Bobcat machines, featuring an adjustable seat and tilt steering column.

Mr. Johnathan Widmer, Product Specialist at Bobcat, concluded, “We talked to a lot of our dealers and they were saying somebody came in looking for a tractor and it seemed like they needed just a little bit more (horsepower). That was probably the biggest push why we wanted to get into this. Bobcat makes it onto farms with skid steers and loaders, but we didn’t really have a tractor we thought farmers and ranchers might use.”
