Bengaluru- Bolt.Earth., an EV Charging network has unveiled Blaze DC, the DC fast charger tailored specifically for electric two- and three-wheelers in India. Designed to address the growing need for accessible, efficient EV charging infrastructure, Blaze DC was launched at a high-profile event in Bengaluru, featuring a live demonstration integrated with the Bolt.Earth Charging App.
With two- and three-wheelers accounting for over 80% of India’s electric fleet, Blaze DC is a timely innovation aimed at solving key pain points in urban EV adoption. The charger supports both Type 6 and LECCS Type 7 connectors, ensuring compatibility with leading Indian EV brands like Ather, Ola, Ultraviolette, Hero MotoCorp, Matter Motors, and Simple Energy.
The 12kW Blaze DC model is capable of delivering up to 120 km of range in just 15 minutes, making it ideal for everyday users such as auto drivers, delivery partners, and small business owners. Developed and manufactured entirely in India, Blaze DC features a modular design for easy maintenance, along with real-time error detection and remote diagnostics to minimize downtime.
Bolt.Earth plans to roll out Blaze DC chargers across major cities, including Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Kerala, and Pune. The company aims to support 90% of fast-charging-enabled two- and three-wheelers within the next year.
With Blaze DC, Bolt.Earth reinforces its position as a comprehensive EV solutions provider, offering hardware, software, installation, 24/7 customer support, and digital tools like a Charger Management System (CMS) and charger APIs. Their extensive charging network includes over 37,000 charging points across 1,700 cities, and their app serves more than 224,000 active users, enabling seamless scan-pay-charge access.
Mr. Raghav Bharadwaj, CEO of Bolt.Earth, emphasized the product’s inclusive design, said, “Blaze DC is built by Indian engineers, using Indian infrastructure, for Indian users. It’s a step toward a faster, smarter, and more accessible EV ecosystem.”
Dr. Shiv Shankara N, Managing Director of BESCOM, was the chief guest at the event. He noted that over 200 EV chargers have already been installed across Karnataka, and expressed interest in partnering with Bolt.Earth to upgrade to fast-charging infrastructure across the state.
As India’s EV market is projected to sell over 5 million electric scooters annually by 2027, the need for reliable, affordable, and high-speed charging solutions is urgent especially for gig workers and small enterprises. Blaze DC directly addresses this challenge, setting a new benchmark in India’s electric mobility journey.
