Louisville, Kentucky - Bomag GmbH., a compaction equipment manufacturer, has introduced its BP Series of single-direction vibratory plate compactors, designed for compacting sand, gravel, mixed soils, and other non-cohesive materials.
The series includes six gas-powered models — BP 10/30, BP 12/35, BP 12/50, BP 15/40, BP 20/45, and BP 25/50 — with working widths from 12.6 to 19.7 inches. The BP 15/40, BP 20/45, and BP 25/50 feature a cyclone filter that reduces dust intake, extending engine life.
Durable and low-maintenance, the compactors have an exciter housing cast into the base plate, protective bar guards with lifting handles, and an enclosed V-belt guard for operator safety. Large rubber vibration isolators keep hand-arm vibration below 16.4 ft/s², reducing fatigue.
The BP Series can be equipped with optional features for various applications. For asphalt, a spray bar kit prevents sticking, while landscaping mats protect paving stones and ensure gentle compaction.
Transport is simplified with a foldable handle and optional wheels that fold away during use. The BP Series combines performance, comfort, and adaptability for a wide range of compaction tasks.
