Michigan, United States- BorgWarner Inc., showcases next-generation technologies for electric, hybrid, and combustion vehicles at IAA Mobility 2025 in Munich. The company is presenting innovations including a range extender, the latest inverter generation, eTurbo and eBooster solutions, along with advanced thermal management technologies such as high-voltage heaters, integrated thermal modules, eCoolers, and the high-voltage eFan. BorgWarner is also highlighting its torque management systems (TMS) portfolio, underscoring its commitment to advancing propulsion solutions across all vehicle platforms.

The new range extender module works alongside an internal combustion engine to increase EV range and flexibility while meeting strict emission standards. BorgWarner’s next-generation inverters and power electronics offer higher power density and improved thermal performance, enabling more compact, efficient, and reliable electric drive systems.

In the drivetrain segment, the company’s eTMS portfolio features active systems designed to enhance safety, handling, and efficiency. These solutions integrate control electronics and software to manage torque distribution, wheel slip, and drive module decoupling in real time.

BorgWarner’s thermal management innovations including high-voltage heaters, thermal modules, battery and power electronics eCoolers, and high-voltage eFans are engineered to maintain optimal operating temperatures across propulsion systems and vehicle cabins, ensuring performance, safety, and energy efficiency in diverse vehicle architectures.

Dr. Paul Farrell, Chief Strategy Officer, BorgWarner Inc, said, “Our innovations support OEMs with scalable, efficient, and future-ready technologies. We continue to expand our portfolio to meet the growing demand for electrification while maintaining excellence across all propulsion systems.”

Mr. Harry Husted, Chief Technology Officer, BorgWarner Inc, said, “These technologies are designed to help our customers achieve optimal performance, efficiency, and integration across a range of vehicle platforms. Our presence at IAA Mobility 2025 highlights BorgWarner’s leadership in propulsion system innovation.”
