Tokyo, Japan- Bridgestone Corporation., has announced the launch of its new premium sports motorcycle tyre, the BATTLAX RACING STREET RS12, with sales starting January 2026 in Europe and North America, followed by February 2026 in Japan. Developed under the concept “From Circuit to Street,” the RS12 brings race-tyre technology to a road-legal product and is positioned as delivering the highest dry-grip performance in the BATTLAX road-legal lineup.

The RS12 uses a new racing-derived compound developed from Bridgestone’s experience in race tyre development. It also features a new tread pattern with an optimized groove ratio designed to increase tyre rigidity and expand the contact area during cornering, supporting stronger grip in dry conditions.

A key upgrade is the new tyre structure, especially for the front tyre, which adopts the HE-MS BELT structure technology proven in top-level motorcycle racing and introduced for the first time on a commercial BATTLAX tyre. The flexible belt design helps equalize contact pressure, further boosting grip.

Bridgestone says the RS12 delivers broad improvements in circuit performance with a strong focus on dry grip, including a significant lap-time reduction compared with the previous BATTLAX RACING STREET RS11. The company adds that the tyre is engineered to maintain high grip levels even after multiple laps, thanks to the optimized balance of compound, tread pattern, and structure.

With these updates, the RS12 is aimed at riders who want confidence and enjoyment across varied use from sporty riding on dry public roads to winding routes and track sessions. Bridgestone reiterated its commitment to supporting safe and enjoyable motorcycling through premium BATTLAX products, aligned with its wider mobility vision under the Bridgestone E8 Commitment.
