Bridgestone’s Custom Tyres for Porsche Macan Electric and Panamera

Bridgestone has developed bespoke tyres for the Porsche Macan Electric and Panamera, improving performance, handling, and sustainability with ENLITEN Technology.

Zaventem, Belgium- Bridgestone Europe NV/SA., premium tires, tire technologies, and advanced mobility solutions, Porsche has chosen Bridgestone to develop bespoke tyres for its new Macan Electric and Panamera models. Both vehicles are equipped with custom-engineered Bridgestone Potenza Sport ultra-high-performance tyres, while the Panamera also offers the Bridgestone Blizzak LM005 tyres as its first winter original fitment.

The Porsche Macan Electric features custom Potenza Sport tyres designed for enhanced dynamic performance, handling, and braking while managing the SUV’s weight and torque. These tyres, utilizing Bridgestone's ENLITEN Technology, optimize rolling resistance to support the vehicle’s 600km range. Available globally in 20’’, 21’’, and 22’’ sizes, they are crafted in Europe.

The Porsche Panamera is fitted with two unique Bridgestone tyres: the 21’’ Potenza Sport tyres for sporty performance and energy efficiency, and the 20’’ Blizzak LM005 winter tyres for improved handling in dry, wet, and snowy conditions. Both are developed and produced in Europe.

Bridgestone’s Virtual Tyre Development technology was crucial in creating bespoke tyres for the Porsche Macan Electric and Panamera. This technology improves efficiency and sustainability, reducing raw material consumption and CO2 emissions by up to 60%. It helped optimize dry braking, match tyres to the vehicles’ braking systems, and maintain stability at high speeds, all while enhancing performance for the Macan Electric’s high weight and torque.
