Brussels, Belgium – Busworld Europe 2025, the world’s largest exhibition dedicated to buses and coaches, held from October 4–9, 2025, returned to Brussels with record-breaking scale and a clear message: the future of passenger transport is electric, digital, and sustainable.
Spanning 85,000 square meters across nine halls, the event brought together 550 exhibitors from 40 countries and showcased over 250 vehicles indoors, alongside another 32 outdoor demonstration vehicles. The six-day show revealed the latest innovations in electrification, comfort, energy management, and design, reaffirming Busworld’s status as the industry’s leading global platform.
Key Showcases:
BYD Company Limited., drew major attention with the European premiere of its BYD B12.b HF, BYD B18.b, and BYD B12.b LE electric buses, and teased its upcoming model powered by solid-state battery technology — a leap toward higher energy density and safety.
Mercedes-Benz Group AG., unveiled the Mercedes-Benz eIntouro, its first electric intercity bus, and introduced the NMC4 battery generation for the popular Mercedes-Benz eCitaro line, offering increased range and improved efficiency.
MAN Truck & Bus SE., launched the MAN eCoach, its first fully electric touring bus, and showcased the updated MAN Lion’s City E (2025 edition) with an in-house battery pack and optimized charging systems.
Scania CV AB., showcased its new 3-axle low-entry battery-electric vehicle (BEV), co-developed with Irizar, S. Coop., along with plug-in hybrid variants and the latest 13-litre Scania Super powertrain for enhanced fuel economy and performance.
ABB Ltd., presented a full suite of traction components—including the ABB Traction Battery Pro Series, ABB AMXE250S motor, and ABB HES580 inverter—highlighting its leadership in electric propulsion and power electronics.
CRRC Corporation Limited., showcased its newest lineup and system matrix, featuring the world debut of the EU12C coach and the ED12 double-decker bus, highlighting what the Chinese manufacturer calls “a world-class vision for the future of public transportation.”
Anadolu Isuzu Otomotiv Sanayi veTicaret A.S., unveiled its Grand Toro XL along with a full EV line-up, highlighting its latest innovations in passenger transport.
Yutong Bus Co., Ltd., presented four premium battery-electric models including 14m ultra-luxury battery electric tourist bus, The standard of battery electric intercity coach IC12E, The 15m high-end city bus benchmark U15, under “Think Eco, Move Green”, featuring the advanced Yutong EV Long-life Tech for enhanced efficiency and durability.
VDL Bus & Coach B.V. and VDL Van Hool N.V., now operating together as VDL Bus Group, showcased two Futura 3 coaches (FHD-129) in green and gold finishes, demonstrating the synergy of innovation and customer focus across their complementary brands.
JBM Electric Vehicles Pvt. Ltd., launched the ECOLIFE e12 city bus, targeting sustainable urban mobility solutions.
MG COMMERCIAL (India) Pvt. Ltd., made its Busworld debut with the all-electric iEV12 bus and the versatile B12E chassis, marking its push into zero-emission transport.
Irizar, S. Coop., showcased its Irizar Efficient range, spanning city to long-distance segments, in one of the largest booths of the expo.
Marcopolo S.A., returned to Europe with the stunning Marcopolo Paradiso G8 1200 coach, designed for premium tourism. The model features Confort AA seats, USB ports, LED lighting, and thermal insulation, combining elegance with passenger well-being.
Component and Technology Innovations
Masats S.A., introduced its new Masats 028e single-leaf sliding door and AI-assisted passenger access system for greater operational efficiency.
Kiepe Electric GmbH., revealed its Kiepe eDrive system, integrating motor, inverter, and control electronics into a single, compact module—soon to power the BMC Procity+ EV.
Stoneridge, Inc., launched Stoneridge MirrorEye MP II, its next-generation digital mirror system featuring Blind Spot Information System (BSIS) and Moving Off Information System (MOIS) for enhanced driver safety.
